 FOOTBALL COACH MIKE KELLY

MIKE KELLY of Longwood, Florida is currently on the coaching staff of Coach Mike Kintz at Winter Springs High School.  Coach Kelly graduated from Cardinal Gibbons High School in Baltimore and was football team captain and MVP while a 2 year starter at quarterback.  He was also a 2 year starter on the baseball team and won their prestigious Jackie Robinson Award as their captain at second base. He was awarded the Scholar Athlete Award and was a National Honor Society member in 1981.
After high school Mike played quarterback for East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania where he graduated in 1985 with a BA in economics.
Coach Kelly has been involved in coaching youth sports for many years and has extensive experience in managing youth camps.  His football youth coaching experience in Pop Warner is matched by few as he has been coaching with the Winter Springs Grizzlies since 1999.  Mike has been on Coach Kintz’s High School Bears staff for two years.  Mike loves coaching and the teaching of youth through experiences from which he has learned and excelled.  He feels coaching youth is the best medicine for keeping him young and watching the kids absorb, learn and improve their game is his favorite reward of coaching.
Coach Kelly and his wife, Laura share five children and his son Dillon plays high school football and baseball.  His daughter, Brittany just graduated from high school and was a varsity cheerleader and his youngest, Lynsey, plays soccer.
